چکیده

Forty-eight water samples (30 groundwater and 18 surface samples) were collected from the study region. Physical chemical examinations performed on to determine values of various variables. Several graphs, sheets, statistical measures, including sodium solubility percentage (SSP), absorption ratio (SAR), Piper’s diagram, used plot concentration principal ions chloride mass balance (CMB). The contents variables compared with in other local areas standard allowable safe limits as recommended by World Health Organization (WHO). Water pH neutral for all samples. Electric conductivity (EC) readings revealed that vacillated slightly mineralized excessively mineralized. salinities fresh very according total dissolved solids (TDS) amounts. hardness ranged medium hard Bicarbonate, sodium, calcium made up highest amounts concentrations bicarbonate, sulfate, chloride, found groundwater. Diagrams show major ion relationships well type origin water. According plots, most under investigation Ca-HCO3 type, Mg types, followed SO4.Ca-Cl types. This highlighted elemental preponderance bicarbonate alkaline earth (Ca2+ + Mg2+). dominance is caused evaporite carbonate minerals dissolving because anthropogenic activities interaction processes. recharge was estimated be 0.89–1.6 mm/yr based Chloride Mass Balance. examined can also cattle, poultry, irrigation. Additionally, poorer quality than water, although both types are adequate industries, a range 14 94 percent. With exception few samples, tested suitable number applications.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

DEM-based analysis of morphometric features in humid and hyper-arid environments using artificial neural network

Abstract This paper presents a robust approach using artificial neural networks in the form of a Self Organizing Map (SOM) as a semi-automatic method for analysis and identification of morphometric features in two completely different environments, the Man and Biosphere Reserve “Eastern Carpathians” (Central Europe) in a complex mountainous humid area and Yardangs in Lut Desert, Iran, a hyper...

Exploring the relationship between land use and surface water quality using multivariate statistics in arid and semi-arid regions

The relative impacts of different types of land use on the surface water quality are yet to be ascertained and quantified. In this paper, the influence of different types of land use on surface water quality is investigated. Rain events samples from different land use in the central plateau, Iran, were analyzed for major ions. Statistical analyses were employed to examine the statistical relati...

Forage yield and quality of barley-annual medic intercrops in semi-arid environments

On-farm production of protein is limited in most dairy farm operations in arid and semi-arid environments. Cereal-legume intercropping could be a viable option to obtain forage with higher protein content. A two-year experiment was conducted during 2009 and 2010 growing seasons in a loamy soil to determine whether intercropping pattern of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) and annual medic (Medica...
